Announcements: Roadmap, Recharge, Appmethod

Let me start with the announcements:

A much updated RAD Studio (Delphi and C++Builder) roadmap has been posted at edn.embarcadero.com/article/43677 while a short comment is on my blog at blog.marcocantu.com/blog/2014_march_delphi_cpp_roadmap.html
RAD Studio customers have a new way to stay up-to-date with their license, the Recharge program. Buy XE5 now to get ready for this new deal as explained at www.embarcadero.com/products/rad-studio/recharge
Embarcadero announced Appmethod (a new mobile-centric development tool, a companion to RAD Studio). The FAQ for RAD developers is at www.embarcadero.com/kr/products/rad-studio/appmethod-faq .

Delphi Blogs of the Last Week 8

So I see that Emb is making a push to gain more 
mobile developers (video of AppMethod on Engadget 
even). If Emb is planning to sell tools for the 
dollars they are charging, you might consider 
actually providing more information than a couple non-
commital bullet points on roadmap slides. I assume 
XE6 is coming soon, but who the hell outside of a few 
choice beta testers even what it will include, or 
when it will ship.

Delphi Blogs of the Last Week 8

AppMethod may be great to develop client application
in Delphi. But what about the server side? 

Ok I can use datasnap or even create a wsdl web
service written with java running on a webserver that
the client service can consume.

Now the question is where should I deploy my webserver
if I want to deploy it in the cloud (I like the
scalability of the cloud in term of fee and capacity,
it is very developper friendly). 

For java programmer, the easiest way (the easiest way
is the way I like, that is why I choose Delphi as
primary programming language) is probably to use
oracle cloud service. There is a Oracle Java Cloud
Service SDK that can be plugged in Netbeans. So the
deployment is problaly On-Click away. 

Would it be possible to have an Embarcadero cloud
service with a SDK plugged into Delphi IDE?
