Patch 3 for RAD Studio 10.4 now available

There is a new patch for RAD Studio 10.4 available in GetIt.

As David Millington just blogged, there is a third patch for Delphi 10.4 available in GetIt. It is quite relevant to install it for most customers, as it addresses core issues -- for Delphi developers a problem in the VCL with TGrid and derived classes.

Installation is manual like it was for patch 2, and we recommend installing the 3 patches in sequence. This additional patch, along with the previous ones, adds significant stability to 10.4. In the mean time, we are focused on a quality focused udpate for 10.4.1.

Why not include the DCP files? Also missing from the previous patches. Forgot about those who build and deploy with runtime packages?

Patch 3 for RAD Studio 10.4 now available

 On my computer, GetIt stores the patch files in:
&#124;&#124;Mac\Home\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\21.0\CatalogRepository\10.4Patch3-10\R104_Patch3
That's because I run Delphi in a Windows 10 Parallels VM on a Mac in Coherence mode. But it seems the 
patch program cannot cope with network paths, so it does not work in this location. So I had to copy the 
whole patch folder to a folder under C:&#124;&#124;. Executing the patch from there in Windows File Explorer seemed to 
work, although it did not work in my preferred file manager Directory Opus (which is completely compatible 
with Windows Explorer).
Also, the readme file says: "The installation ... will proceed adding a detailed log file to the catalog repository 
folder When completed". But the install.log file contains only ONE LINE: "C:\Program Files 
(x86)\Embarcadero\Studio\21.0\_patch-backup\2020-07-28 15.25.03"!

Hello,

I find this quite confusing:

If, the  GetIt package manager says ''Installed'' for all 3 patches does it mean that the patches...are ''installed'' or not?

Or, are there a bunch of other manual steps to complete before the patches are actually really ''installed''? 

How do we recognize that patches are really ''installed''? Anything in Help/About ?
