My Delphi 2009 Handbook is now available in Brazil... or to any Portuguese reader.
My Delphi 2009 Handbook is now available in Brazil... or to any Portuguese reader. You can find more information on the publisher web site, http://infopress.lojapronta.net. The content should match the original book and is focused on the features of Delphi 2009. This new volume is an addition to the English language edition I self-published and the Japanese edition that's been available for some time.
Brazil has always been a country with a large Delphi following, and even if the tool is not so popular these days I think the book will do well. I remember a time my "Biblia" books in Brazil could outsell the English, international edition. And thanks to the publishers for their effort!

Posso sapere perchè in portoghese si ed in italiano
no?!?!
Mi piacerebbe un bel testo anche 2 volumi tipo core
java di horstmann ma per Delphi aggiornato alla
versione 2010.
Che ne dici?
Grazie

Vincent (replying in English, as this is the language
for this blog)
the book is not available in Italian because (i) no
published asked for it and (ii) I feel the market size
is too small. My last book on Delphi 2006 (by Mondadori)
was not very successful.
About publishing a complete two-volumes tome, like
Mastering Delphi used to be, I have a lot of
reservations... but it might as well happen, in English!

Since you still having a great number admirers here in Brasil I think you
should considerer a visit in the next Delphi Conference, organized by
Embarcadero, next month. Talk with your contacts there and see if it's
possible. Thanks for all.
