As you probably know, last week CodeGear released RAD Studio 2009, which includes the new Delphi Prism. And registered users can download the PDF edition of my Delphi 2009 Handbook.
As you probably know, last week CodeGear released RAD Studio 2009 (http://www.codegear.com/products/radstudio), which includes the new Delphi Prism (http://www.codegear.com/products/delphi/prism). Notice, as Nick Hodges mentions in his blog at http://blogs.codegear.com/nickhodges/2008/11/27/39154 that Delphi Prism will see continuous updates, so you are strongly encouraged to buy a subscription for it. If you buy the standalone product, the subscription comes with it. If you buy it as part of RAD Studio, you have to pay the extra fee.
You can download the RAD Studio 2009 trial at: http://cc.codegear.com/Free.aspx?id=26309. Finally, notice that registered users of RAD Studio 2009 can download the PDF edition of my Delphi 2009 Handbook. The download link (disabled if you are not entitled) is at: http://cc.codegear.com/item/26311.

RAD Studio 2009 and Delphi Prism Released
Better timing than the first CodeRush. Rather than
trying to sell something to people who can't get it
for weeks after they order it, CodeGear can start
pushing out the electronic delivery right away.
Heck, maybe they were smart enough to get some copies
pressed so they can FedEx packages to people before
CR3 is over. (if you are going to generate product
excitement, doesn't it make sense to provide instant
gratification?)

Wasn't D2009 released ages ago? Or is this an add-on
containing only Prism?

RAD Studio 2009 and Delphi Prism Released
Oh, oops. RAD 2009 <> D2009. D2007 had a strange
combination of all products mentioned in the helps,
etc; yet only D32 was included in the RAD. That
confused me.

Are you working on a Prism book?

RAD Studio 2009 and Delphi Prism Released
Delphi Prism is great idea!
Working C# projects side by side with Delphi project
inside Microsoft Visual Studio .NET IDE is something
I will certainly try.
It is the same strategy, new C# features will be
followed by new and "better" Delphi features.
Looking forward to see some books about this Marco!

Adnan

RAD Studio 2009 and Delphi Prism Released
Is there a procedure or wizard or instructions for
upgrading Delphi 2006 ASP.NET or CodeGear RAD Studio
2007 ASP.NET projects? Right now we can't get it to
recognize a with.. do statement among other problems,
so we can't get a compile.
