CodeGear has made the PDF of my book available to all registered users of Delphi 2009 (and C++Builder 2009), beside those who bought RAD Studio 2009.
I noticed on CodeGear forum that in a thread referring to the ebook version of my Delphi 2009 Handbook, Nick Hodges announced:
As of today, this is available to all Delphi 2009 and C++Builder 2009
customers.
That's true (and I tested it, using my DevRel registration). CodeGear has made the PDF of my book available to all registered users of Delphi 2009 (and C++Builder 2009), beside those who bought RAD Studio 2009, as originally announced. I'm certainly happy about this: I hope Delphi developers like the ebook so much to buy the printed version as well.
For download, if you are a registered users, you can go to http://cc.codegear.com/item/26311 and get the 401 pages PDF (400 pages plus the cover). For buying it with the CodeRage conference discount (valid until tomorrow) refer to http://www.wintech-italia.com/dh2009_coderage.html.

Can the customers who purchased the printed book
from lulu.com get the pdf version as well?

Thanks, Marco. I was unable to undestand why the book
is available only for Prizm users. Good news on the
morning!

After reading this post, I went on downloading the
PDF, and I am very impressed; the content offers a lot
of value. If the shipping costs to Germany are
feasible, I'll probably order a printed copy.
Making this book available to all Delphi and
C++Builder 2009 developers is the best thing CodeGear
can do. I just wish there would be a C++Builder 2009
handbook as well :-/

Moritz,
if you select Euro as currency shipping to Germany
would be between 6 and 15 Euros (depending on speed),
as they print the book in Spain. But if you use US
Dollars as currency they print it in the US and
shipping gets more expensive. Not really sure why...

Just downloaded your book, there is a slightly
problem. The PDF link for download I received can be
used also outside of the account if you know the url.
Ask CodeGear to reduce the rights to the PDF file to
the persons who are only logged in. Just my advice, I
start reading the book. Thank you again.

Marco,
I was told by the German customer support of Lulu
that my book, which I've ordered in US$, is printed
in Spain, but I had to pay 19 US$ as shipping costs.
As a matter of fact I just received a confirmation
mail that they already started shipment of the book -
from Spain!
This means, when ordering in US Dollars you pay more
for shipping although it will be printed in Spain!
So I guess Lulu is just ripping us off! It seems Lulu
assumes when ordering in US Dollars the shipment goes
to overseas no matter what I entered as destination
country (Germany). At least this would explain the
high costs where 19 US$ <> 6 EUR and of course I
selected the cheapest option for shipping!

Michael
