two questions
can one link its purchased license to the EDN account, or is the sole way
to do so via a physical windows machine and go through the pain of a
full blown delphi install (before June 30th 2013)
is the date of purchase relevant or the date of registration?

Delphi XE4 Special Offers About to Expire
Marco,
According to the website, the minimum purchase is
$499.00 to get the special offers. However, the
upgrade price for Delphi XE4 Professional is $494.10
in the EMB store. Does this mean that someone who
wants to upgrade from Delphi 10 - XE3 Professional to
Delphi XE4 Professional is going to be $4.90 short and
be excluded from the special offers?
If that is the case, it appears that the "Special
Upgrades" from XE3 versions for Architect and
Enterprise will be excluded from the special offers as
well.
It does say "regularly" priced and it seems that the
upgrades have been discounted, but the wording isn't
clear and I'm reluctant to change my budget around to
take advantage of the offer if I'm not sure I will
actually get it.
Also, the upgrade price for Architect and Enterprise
is $449.10, but the upgrade price for Pro is $494.10.
That price seems a bit strange. Could the Pro price
have suffered a transposition error? Should it be
$449.10 like its counterparts?

1) If you purchase by June 30, you have 14 days after
that to install, register and download the free extras.
2) All of the products that include the 10% offer have
the discount built into the prices. If you want to go
from Delphi XE3 Pro to Delphi XE4 Pro with Mobile, you
can just purchase the Mobile Add-On Pack for $299 and
that will give you the XE4 upgrade with Mobile. That
option only works for XE3 Pro users. Users of any other
XE3 edition or 2010-XE2 versions have to buy the $494.10
upgrade plus the $299 Mobile Add-On Pack.

I'm sorry but this all sounds like the same kind of
vague promises offered by XE3...little did the customer
know that 6 months later would bring a new version (XE4)
and require hundreds more $$$
As still don't know if XE4+mobile studio is capable of
anything more than simple demo's I'll wait for all the
roads to get paved first.
