SD Times has a very interesting editorial (dated June 1st) on CodeGear acquisition by Embarcadero, titled CodeGear's White Knight. I agree it was hard to imagine (let alone find) a better buyer for the Borland IDE division, one that has all potential to keep the various tools around and make them flourish. The article conclusion is indeed remarkable:
"We believe that Embarcadero represents the perfect buyer and is in a strong position to maintain the products and serve CodeGear’s long-suffering customer base. It’s truly the best exit strategy that any of us could have hoped for."
