If you buy some versions of Delphi and RAD Studio, you'll receive 6 months of free maintenance.
If you buy some versions of Delphi and RAD Studio (basically those including the mobile support), you'll receive 6 months of free maintenance. So rather than waiting for our next release, you can start developing now, receive any new version shipping until the end of the year, and renew your maintenance for continuos upgrades and support.
This is much better than buying the current version only to find out in a few weeks that there is a new release you have to upgrade to. In general, maintenance makes a lot of sense for our newer mobile editions, given the continuos development in that area. That;s why I tend to recommend maintenance... and suggest you buy your XE4 now with this free 6 months maintenance offer. A very good deal indeed, to get you started with iOS development and get ready for Android.
The details of the offer (along with the amnesty upgrade expiring tomorrow and the extended pack of free tools) are at:

Buy Delphi, Get 6 Months Free Maintenance
I'll wait to see if XE5 is worth to upgrade. The past
showed us, that new features are not usable in the
first version intruduced. That means I am skeptical,
that Android support is usable.
If I had one wish for free, I would wish, that the
FireMonkey Style designer will rock and vector UI
styles are included. Beside critical bug fixes of course.

Buy NEW Delphi, Get 6 Months Free Maintenance
Notice that the offer is not for upgrades, only for new licenses. I realized
I didn't mention it (nor the opposite) in the blog post and this might
cause some confusion.

Buy Delphi, Get 6 Months Free Maintenance
If I bought a XE4 + Mobile New User License in May and
the offer dates are "...available July 22 through August
31, 2013" do I still qualify for the 6 months of free
maintenance effective my purchase date?

Wilfred, nope. Offers aren't valid for licenses already sold. Also because
at a different time someone could have taken advantage of different
offers.

If upgrades got the 6 month deal then I'd go for it.

Buy Delphi, Get 6 Months Free Maintenance
I am maybe looking to upgrade to Enterprise when
Android comes out. If offer was for upgrades I would
also go for it. Come on Emb extend it to upgrades.

Why does EMBT treat their most loyal and committed customers the
worst? They're the first to upgrade, and they often get the worst
upgrade deals. If you wait, the deals just keep getting better and
better. I decided to wait for the second batch of special offers, mainly
because it usually takes that long for all of the 3rd-party component
libs I use to get updated; before that, I can't do anything with my
existing code base.
And those who have "Professional" licenses are almost in the same
boat as those with a trial version. I have the Delphi Pro edition,
because it's all I need.
When XE4 was released, I asked my sales rep if SA would cover the
mobile addon in the Pro version, and was flatly told 'NO'. I went ahead
and bought XE4 anyway, without SA because there seemed like no
benefit to it. Then the mobile addon came out and … lo and behold …
SA for Pro versions DID cover it! I went ahead and bought it, and asked
if SA on it covers the Android upgrade, and again, flatly told, 'NO'. So
again, no benefit to buying SA.
Now people are getting 6 months of SA for both Delphi AND the mobile
edition for free as an incentive to buy (a special only for NEW
customers, not for existing customers). With the impending release of
XE5 and/or an update to the mobile addon that supports Android, I
suspect that I'll now be told that SA DOES cover BOTH these upgrades.
Why can't you guys have a consistent upgrade and SA policy for ALL
versions, instead of treating those with Professional editions as
second-class citizens?
There's no benefit for me to buy RAD Studio, since all I use is Delphi.
SA on Delphi Pro is less than RAD Studio, but I keep being told that it
doesn't cover the same stuff as SA on everything else (including RAD
Studio). Then I find out I was lied to about that. And of course, even
though that's the case, I can't go back and buy SA. This has happened
several times now, and it really angers me that EMBT seems to enjoy
playing games with Delphi Pro users, using any trick they can think of
to convince us to upgrade to a bigger edition than we really need.
