The International Pascal Congress 2026 by the University of Salamanca happened last week. This second edition was very nice, like the first one three years ago. There were many technical sessions, courses, keynote speeches... although I could stay only for the first 3 days.
There were two Niklaus Wirth Awards this yeas, given to Cary Jensen, for focusing most of his career on training and writing about Delphi and many associated technologies, and to Arnaud Bouchez for this work on the mORMot 2 library.
I gave a session titled: "Delphi? Silently Successful!", highlighting the many industries where Delphi quietly powers mission-critical applications and why Delphi still matters and why developers are choosing to use it. At the end, Sergio was so kind to give me a new "edition" of the award they gave me 3 years ago, given for this edition they had created a nice status of Niklaus Wirth.
Here is a picture of the actual award and a picture of when I was given it (taken by Antonio, thanks!). Below two more pictures of Cary and Arnaud.
