A new survey of RAD Studio, Delphi and C++Builder customers is available. Your input is appreciated and will help shape the future versions of the product.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2014RADStudioSurvey
This is the "2014 RAD Studio. Delphi, and C++Builder Developer Survey", which takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes, as it has 103 questions over 16 pages. We know this takes a lot of time to complete, but we really use the input from the survey to shape the product, both in terms of overall features, and in terms of details of the implementation.
No question about a feature is a promise, but your input can help turn some ideas into new product areas, if there is consensus that something is really worth. There are many open questions, making it possible to include extra information beyond what we are considering. Feel free to use those as well, of course.
Finally, help us spread the word about the survey, tell it to your friends who use Delphi or C++Builder, blog or tweet or facebook or googleplus about it...

Will the result of the survey be published?

RAD Studio 2014 Developers Survey
would be perfect if this survey had been set up in a
logical consistent way, i.e. not asking things on
feature you before has answered not to be included in
your Delphi version.
The possibility for filling in a trailing remark would
have been useful, too.

RAD Studio 2014 Developers Survey
Looking on this page
http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/XE6/en/What%27s_New_in_Delphi_and_C%2B%2BBuilder_XE6
first i see it
"XE6 is a "quality release". That is, we have fixed
hundreds of design and performance bugs for XE6. These
fixes will significantly improve the user experience
with RAD Studio. "
so there are no new features, no app tethering ( good
feature!!), no other stuff?
Bug fix is perfect, but for a price of a whole new
Delphi /RadS. version?
when i read this i think some guys at Emba are
torpeding the firm.
Or the guys publishing such stuff are brain dead.
Delphi/ the compiler really dont deserve this brainfu.
stupid anti-ads!!!

RAD Studio 2014 Developers Survey
Anna,
not sure about your complain. Yes, point 1 and 2 on the page are
focused on C++, but points 3 to 10 apply to Delphi. Maybe the
page structure should be more clear, but this is help page, not a
marketing page. Go to
http://www.embarcadero.com/products/delphi for the new
features description.

RAD Studio 2014 Developers Survey GameDev
Dear Marco,
why there is the question decision between game dev
and biz dev?
If i have developed a DB-App, of course it could be
useful to promote a little game which promotes the app,
best way the game is rapidly constructed in Delphi ;-) .
And of course there is a lot of demand, as one can see in
http://www.pascalgamedevelopment.com/content.php?398-PGD-Community-Engine-Starting
And a well suited biotop for game dev, surely often
using the ClientDataSet(because it's that convenient
to use), has advantages for DB-Dev: the surface
elements never will be designed to be slow!
Best regards!

RAD Studio 2014 Developers Survey
A book from Marco on Firemonkey and Delphi/c++ (really
for beginner, like Delphi for Kind++), I mean for
people that know little nothing about programming,
would certainly greatly help the product adoption.
Actually I am reading book on Java programming, and I
am very impressed by the pedagogical value of most of
theses books (and the comcepts introduced that can
also be found in Delphi now). They are up to date, and
some of them are really usefull to step in
programming. Actually I would have really some
difficulties to recommend a book to a student learning
Delphi: there are either not up to date, or fucusing
only about what is new.

Is it true that next D-Version will support
"BaseStyle-Switching", meaning:
if SysUtils.BaseStyleAvailable( bsaVCL ) then
SetBaseStyle( bsVCL )
else
SetBaseStyle( bsFireMonkey );
??????????????

New Feature RAD Studio 2014 Developers Survey
is it true that in the next D-Version
there will be a platform-independent Registry for all
(Delphi)Programs, which
all Delphi-Developer can use with their
Registry-Components?
