Semi-Tech Videos: Vista and Web 2.0

Browsing the web over the weekend I bumped into two interesting videos... one covering the Vista vs. OS X debate and the other introducing the ideas behind Web 2.0.

I don't generally spend a lot of time on YouTube, but reading some blogs and news over the weekend I bumped into two different videos that I found very interesting, for totally different reasons.

The first is one of the many posts and videos on the "similarities" between Windows Vista and the Mac OS X. I don't want to get into the debate. What I like about this video is it is quite ironic is telling you "no, they are different - how can Vista gadgets be a clone of Mac widgets if they have a different name? A gadget is not a widget, for sure!"

The second video is a superb description of the Web 2.0 from the "human science" perspective. "The machine is us!" tells us Michael Wesch. I have to say I was in awe. 4 minutes well spent, highly recommended.

Well, there is a russian proverd (roughly) Dog is
barking, wind is spreading.

I am not going to argue too :) This is how Microsoft
is doing its business and this is how journalists
doing theirs. Let's allow them both to make some
money. Or don't :)
