10,000 Spam Messages

Another non-Delphi post for a new record in my GMail inbox.

My Google Mail inbox reached 10,000 spam messages (it is currently at 10,020) over the last 30 days (they get automatically deleted after that). After staying arun 9,500 for many days, it took off tonight.

It seems I have more spam than Nick, although I'm not sure I should rejoice. The good think, though, is that GMail's antispam filter does a pretty good job in handling spam.

well thats but a drop in the ocean. Our domain get
about 3.5k emails per day less than 20 of those will
be legitimate mail. Most of them will be sent to
illegitimate adresses, mnay of them seem to have been
harvested in some way and use things like a
combination of a product name and a real persons name,
madness they acheve nohting but backing up our server.

That's a lot of spam for a gmail account. I usually
have an average of 600. Most of them come from the
same individuals in China (or US nationals with
hosting accounts in China). I rarely get much from US
spammers unfortunately for which there would be some
remedy.
