Handbook Note 86/113: Configuring Delegate Drivers

Note 86 of 113 of Delphi 2007 Handbook

The note comments the sentence: "There is a very important caveat when you use delegate drivers: their configuration is not stored in the connection, so you need to keep the dbEpxress configuration files around".

Note 86: At least until “someone finds out how to get rid of them”, as Bob Swart pointed out on his web site (http://www.drbob42.com). Placing the dbxconnections.ini file in the program folder is generally a good solution.

This blog post is part of my "113 Delphi 2007 Handbook Notes" blogging project, to promote my new Delphi book.
