Handbook Note 18/113: Removing .NET Help
Note 18 of 113 of Delphi 2007 Handbook
Note 18: If you don't care about the .NET help, you can remove it (reducing extraneous search results) as suggested by Fernando Madruga in his blog at: http://memyselfanddelphi.blogspot.com/2007/04/delphi-2007-for-win32-getting-rid-of.html.
BTW, Fernando has been also a tech reviewer of the book. This blog post is part of my "113 Delphi 2007 Handbook Notes" blogging project, to promote my new Delphi book.

Brett, good suggestion, no problem posting it in public. The note 18 is at page 38, the last page of the first chapter. I hope I'll remember this in the future...Comment by Marco Cantù [http://www.marcocantu.com] on October 11, 13:55

OK, your link had a space in it. Since Delphi 2007, I abandoned using the Delphi Help since it took so long to open, and it was full of Microsoft garbage. After executing the steps in your Handbook Note 18, the help now loads in 1/2 the time. Plus, when I look at the table of contents, it looks like a Delphi help system again. Wow, I can to use the help again. Thanks. P.S. The article also mentions that additional files from a list of a 100+/- help sub-topics that can be individually removed, to further speed things up. I wished CodeGear would have written a small app to extract out all non-Delphi .hxs files. I would do it, but I don't know the contents of each help topic.Comment by Brett Graffin on October 11, 13:59

Sorry for the wrong link. I added a space in the book text, for formatting reasons, and failed to remove it. The link should be OK now.Comment by Marco Cantù [http://www.marcocantu.com] on October 13, 00:35
