The Mozilla Foundation has announced for today the availability of the final version of its Firefox 3 web browser. The goal of the download day is to set a world record for copies of a software downlaoded in 24 hours. What I don't like is that it is far from clear when the day will start, I guess in 30 minutes as it is a "California day", but the web sites could be a bit more "world-friendly" a somewhat less "California-centric"....

Anyway, whether you are already using Firefox or still on Internet Explorer, the new browser (which I tried on a secondary computer) looks really worth a download, even if a couple of the extensions I use (including Google Browser Sync, which I use to keep my home and office computers on par) won't make the transition...

Happy downloading, and long live Firefox!
