Firefox 3 Download Day
The Mozilla Foundation has announced for today the availability of the final version of its Firefox 3 web browser. The goal of the download day is to set a world record for copies of a software downlaoded in 24 hours. What I don't like is that it is far from clear when the day will start, I guess in 30 minutes as it is a "California day", but the web sites could be a bit more "world-friendly" a somewhat less "California-centric"....
Anyway, whether you are already using Firefox or still on Internet Explorer, the new browser (which I tried on a secondary computer) looks really worth a download, even if a couple of the extensions I use (including Google Browser Sync, which I use to keep my home and office computers on par) won't make the transition...
Happy downloading, and long live Firefox!

Firefox 3 Download Day
Yes, it was not obvious when it will start. After some searching around yesterday I found it to be, that the day start at Tuesday 19:00 CEST (Central European Summer Time) which fit 10:00 US west coast time. Practically for most of the world it will be tomorrow that is the download day. http://www.spreadfirefox.com/node/2441Comment by Richard Foersom on June 17, 13:36

FoxMarks
There's an alternative to Browser Sync called FoxMarks, http://foxmarks.com/, that does FF browser bookmark synching. It has a feature that Browser Sync doesn't have, you can have a page on the FoxMarks site where you can access your bookmarks online. That's useful at a cybercafe where you don't want to store any bookmarks.Comment by Chris Miller [http://anotherlab.rajapet.net] on June 17, 20:36

Bit useless to download FF (tongue in cheek) when Delphi is still so tied to IE... I wonder why CodeGear doesn't add an html rendering control based on Gecko instead of IE. It would allow the developer to control what rendering engine his application uses, instead of relying on what damned version of IE the user has on her PC :)Comment by Luigi D.
