My latest book, Delphi 2009 Handbook, is now available on Lulu.com. The book information page on my site is at http://www.marcocantu.com/dh2009/. Here you'll find a summary of the book structure. In short, this is a 400 pages book entirely focused on new Delphi 2009 (for Win32 ) features.

Wow, the shipping fee to Canada is too high, and it
costs almost half of the book price. Anyway, I ordered
one copy.

Now I am starting to wait for it..................

Lulu's shipping charges are just abhorrent!

When I went to buy the book, it originally listed the 
standard shipping charge as $74.26 for me in Canada. 
I did not feel like going for Super Mega Fast at 
$134.60 which you still have to wait 3 to 5 days for 
until the book is printed. 

The lowest they had was "Ground" at $16.43, but even 
that is high for shipping a book.

I'm sure you will lose a lot of potential purchases 
at the last minute because of the high shipping 
charges.

I would much sooner you, the author, get the extra 
markup than having it go to a shipping "pack" that 
Lulu makes more on.  

I never did like Lulu because of this. If you could 
find a way to get a bigger percentage while selling 
through Amazon, I think you would sell a lot more.

Feel free not to post this comment, but I really 
thought you'd like to know a buyer's perspective of 
Lulu.

Hi,

ordered and paid via Paypal. Paypal and Lulu aren't
nice today together and the order is still pending.
Money gone from Paypal. Hope that it gets to lulu
tomorrow. ;)

Sorry for the issues with shipping to Canada. I know 
Lulu has increased shipping prices a bit, but this 
seems too much to me as well. I'll investigate.

Marco, 

  Lulu shipping rate is very high, it's asking for
around 39USD shipping to here, I bought Mastering
Delphi 2005(which around 1,000 Pages) from amazon
around 48USD including shipping to the same area, now
your book on lulu(400 Pages) cost 45USD + 40USD for
shipping = 85USD, which is too high.

I'm missing amazon days :(

Hi, do you still have partnership with MikroKnjiga in
Serbia? They translated and sold all your previous
Delphi books, so I'm interested will they do this one too?

Buying through Lulu would be a nightmare :(

Lulu's Shipping rates to Mexico => 29 dlls.  :o

Having the last technical info
 and details about Delphi 2009
 from the best author    => has no price! 
:D

...but lulu's shipping rates are still way too high!!
Besides, they get a part of the book's price. And they
just print and ship, didn't spend many months
researching/writing/reviewing 400 pages of gold.

Anyway, I just ordered (at 69.50 dlls).
I'm sure it's going to be worthy of it. Thanks Marco.

Ops! I forget to mention.

I did pay 4.50 dlls (that's right: four dollars) for
Delphi 2007 Handbook shipping rate on the same lulu site.

That was three days after D2007 Handbook gets published.
