Back to Work
I'm back after two weeks in southern France. I traveled with my family in a camping car from Italy to the Atlantic Ocean, visiting many town, castles, churches, villages, seaside locations... including (in no given order) Cap d'Agde, Carcassonne, Pont du Gard, Dune de Pyla, Sarlat la Caneda, Biscarrosse, Lacanau, Roquetaillade, Uzes, and Saint Guilhem le Desert. It was a very nice trip.
Now back to work, I have 303 emails awaiting, 270 entries in my feed reader, plus a lot of other things to catch up with. I'll probably be posting slowly over the next few days... and for the entire month of August, while communing from the hillside place my family is staying (and where I have limited connectivity) to my downtown office. For the next month, my two main projects are finishing my Delphi 2007 book and working on my XMLTypist and related technology. Plus, while business slows down in August in Italy, reworking some of my web sites. Stay tuned.

Mohammed, it is a brand new book covering only new features since Delphi 7. So there is a little overlap with the new material of Mastering Delphi 2005, but also a lot on Delphi 2006 and Delphi 2007. It is a brand new book with a different format and focus than the Mastering series. All of the classic content of the Mastering books is gone, the book will be much smaller, and also less expensive. I'll post more info in a few days.Comment by Marco Cantù [http://www.marcocantu.com] on July 23, 16:02

Good to see you writing a new Delphi book, I'll look forward to reviewing (and promoting it) on my site as soon as I have time to read it ;-) I have been impressed with the quality of your previous publications.Comment by Alister Christie [http://codegearguru.com] on July 24, 01:01

Hi Marco, Sure you have a nice trip in holidays. France is the best country, so I'm not surprised ;o) I don't tell that cause I'm french, of course ;o) Just a question as I'm posting there : I've seen that Amazon US did a new feature, the ability to upgrade a previously bought paper book for a little bucks in order to read it online. It's nice cause you can start reading it before the shipment of it (especially nice if you live in countries where the non-native langage book is not available before 4 or 5 weeks) and you can too access the book at work without having to bring the book from home. The problem is that "Mastering Delphi 2005" isn't available in the "reading online" program from Amazon. I don't know if it's you or your editor that must give an approval on the book for that feature but I think it could be a nice thing. I haven't bought Mastering Delphi 2005 yet but if the reading online upgrade is available, I think I will buy it. Best regardsComment by Florent on August 1, 17:34
