Today Embarcadero has released the second update to Delphi 10.2 Tokyo, C++ Builder 10.2 Tokyo and RAD Studio 10.2 Tokyo
As you can see at https://community.embarcadero.com/blogs/entry/rad-studio-10-2-2-released-today, the new version 10.2.2 of Delphi, C++Builder, and RAD Studio is now available.

There are hundreds of bugs fixed (including over 150 bugs reported by customers in Quality Portal), as you can read in List of new features and customer reported issues fixed in RAD Studio 10.2 Tokyo Release 2 (we'll close the matching QP report in the coming days).
In the coming days I and the other PM will write a few blog posts on specific features added to the product. Also, there is a webinar on Thursday you can sign up for (at 3 times in the day). Nice! I like Delphi for mobile platforms and wish Delphi to grow
and to get better and better, and make the product a little cheaper
(for students for example).

Hi Marco,
Looks awesome, appreciate the hard work.
Don't wanna complain, but really feel the
language needs work ASAP.
Look at what JetBrains have done with Kotlin in a
couple of years!
I agree with what Erik Meijier said "if you're not
into functional programming, you'll be drinking
vodka under the bridge soon."
Help us, modernize the language.

Hello Marco,
Delphi IDE and also our software developed has
become more complex year by year.
In our 20 years of experience I know that every new
feature and improvement of a functionality is a
potential source of new bugs.
This complexity, in order to be managed, has some
requirements from Delphi updates: should contain
only bug fixes.
Please keep the new features, components and
improvement of any functionality for the next major
upgrade.
We simply do not have the time to retest the whole
3rd party and our applications at every updates.
That’s why we never use the latest versions!
In our company we use only Delphi versions and
other 3rd party that have been fixed the major
number of bugs and changes are frozen. We avoid
the remain bugs of those in our code.
The risk is simply too high!
Also to be more understandable please rename:
Update (Service pack) 2 for Delphi Tokyo - for
updates - for the download ISO
Delphi Tokyo with Update (SP) 2 included – for
complete kit - for the download ISO

Delphi 10.2.2 Has Been Released
Hi Marco,
it seems though that your WebInstall upgrade path is
flawed. I cannot upgrade from 10.2.1 since I receive
an "Operationsfehler" after the DirectX download
window appears. Tried for hours several times.
Another issue is "Missing C++Builder license".
Never had one and do not want one. But the license
manager is nagging me with no option to opt out...

I'm using the ISO install path. Should I first uninstall 10.2.1 or can I
simply reinstall 10.2.2 over it ?

Hi Marco,
the wellcome page would me more usefull if the 'Favorite projects'
section had the possibility of creating folders (one level would be
probably enough), so we can sort projects better.
Regarding the new release, it would be nice some words about any
performance improvements, new units...etc...in the different
platforms.

Thanks for the beautiful and really functional
10.2.2 IDE. I really like it, and have been
bragging all over the office, showing my "new
home".
However, I'm in a really tight spot (nah, actually
trouble) because the compiler errs on 10.2.1
projects with the message:
[dcc32 Fatal Error] xxx.pas(6): F2051 Unit
MemDS was compiled with a different version of
System.Generics.Collections.TArray.Sort
Do you know why this is?

Hi,
I was also hit by the
"System.Generics.Collections.TArray.Sort"-Problem.
A 3rd-Party Component-Set (without sourecode) could
not be compiled&installed anymore after installing
Release 10.2.2.
Always got error
"System.Generics.Collections.TArray.Sort".
I contacted the vendor and they tried to help. But we
could not get it work.
After a few e-mail back and forth we saw that some
other folks is running into the same problem with
other component libraries.
So I hope Embarcadero will fix this soon. I don't want
to un-install 10.2.2 and re-install 10.2.1 again.
In general, the release 10.2.2 is really good. The IDE
look's and feel's nice!

We have made available a new release (build 2004) of 10.2.2, that
solves the DCu compatibility issue above. You can download from
the same links of 10.2.2, like
https://cc.embarcadero.com/item/30808.
This new build also solved the BDE issue. The Tokyo BDE version
now works fine.

A million thanks for the quick and effective reply to the issue with
MemDS. The issues I encountered with the original build are fixed,
and all third-party packages are running smoothly.

Hi Marco,
When the Embarcadero will release a patch for the problems of
transition tabs, timer, animate, etc., simple errors that impend the
basic use of the product.
Embarcadero needs to improve the beta tests because some errors
would be identified only by compiling the sample applications that
came with the product.
