Continuing a 5 years old tradition, I'm hosting an Italian Delphi conference on June 7th, in Piacenza, with CodeGear and Microsoft experts. The event is called Delphi Day 2007 (sorry, the page with the description is in Italian language) and we are hoping it will attract a good crowd. It had an average 120 people in past years and we used to have both formal presentations and user-oriented debates, or presentations, or contests.

This year we've invited Pawel Glowacki of CodeGear Europe to speak on Delphi and the Web (covering both the Delphi Win32 and the Delphi for PHP), I'll cover Win32 development in Delphi, while Pietro Brambati of Microsoft Italy will show up what's coming out of Redmond for developers. In the afternoon we've invited the Italian Delphi partners to present their tools (we might still have a couple of spots for non-Italian partners, depending on a couple of pending confirmations) and have arranged a video-chat with Nick Hodges. Last year, this was a mess due to the hotel sucking up all their bandwidth with an update of their accounting system, and leaving almost none to us. This year we have that plus a backup UMTS connection, so things should work out better.

We hope to see a large crowd of Italian Delphi developers, of course. We have asked for a fee (optional, as we allow non-paying attendees), but will also have a drawing of some nice software tools. See you in Piacenza.
