Delphi April Fools
Last saturday, April 1st, saw some interesting Delphi news... well, almost!
This year, April 1st didn't pass unnoticed in the Delphi community....
- On the theme of "extreme" code portability, Delphi hits some interesting ancient platforms (from Vic-20 to IMSAI 8080), in a post by Michael Swindell.
- Allen Bauer announces that DevCo has finally got for the rights to TObject.
- Holgers finds a secret compiler switch.
- Chirs Bensen uses Scrum at home.
- Jakes has an unlikely buyer for Delphi (this is more a dream, that an April fool, and I did got email from people to confirm this news!)
But also outside of it. I really enoyed Google's Romance with its free "Contextual Date", a date they'll pay for you "while delivering to you relevant ads that we and our advertising partners think will help produce the dating results you're looking for". Read the details, very funny indeed.

I liked Holger's the best. He really had me going until about the second or third time I re-read his blog. I was all ready to try out those secret switches! Interesting that you got email about mine. I figured the far-out nature of the headline, plus the obviously bogus quote from Tod would have made sure that everyone knew it was fake. But perhaps some people only saw the headline.Comment by CaptainJake on April 4, 20:11

I think that comments about delphi buyer, today, with the actual problem (net 2.0, ......Compact Framework.....) and the delay from borland, JAKE, are very ¿ funny ? ¿ stupid ? ¿ ? When i have time to loss I will think about you.Comment by juan carlos on April 5, 00:12
