Old Code Downloads on DropBox

I'm moved most of my old book source code downloads to DropBox.

Over the last couple of years, the source code download files for my books have been available in a Google Group. As this had increasing problems with sharing files, I've finally decided to move them to a totally different service.

DropBox, in fact, is an online sharing of your personal file, which can also double as public storage anyone can read from. The nice think about DropBox is it looks like a virtual folder in Windows Resource Explorer, has clients for most regular and phone operating systems, and it very reliable (working at a front end to Amazon Storage).

I've uploaded the code samples for my books on Delphi 6, 7, and 2005.

Code for later books in on Embarcadero's CodeCentral. For the future, my intention is to make source code available as a single ZIP download but also in a SVN repository for each book, for easier consumption from the new Delphi IDE. I might as well upload revised editions of past demos, but this will take time.

Old Code Downloads on DropBox

Hi Marco,

DropBox is amazing - I don't know what I'd do without
it. However, be warned there is a download limit on
public links. Another option for you would be to use
Amazon S3 (the backbone of DropBox) in conjuntion
with CloudBerry. A v cheap solution.

Cheers,

Steve Maughan
